The First Steam Frame Shipments Have Arrived In The US

I have been so excited for the Steam Frame, and I’m ready to take any reason to dive back into VR. I have been getting VR games ready for the incoming Frame, and as soon as it’s in my hands, I know exactly the first game I’ll be playing. However, we have all been anxiously awaiting some announcement, and it looks like it could be coming in the next few weeks.

Over on Twitter/X, Brad Lynch posted about the first imports of the Steam Frame arriving in the US warehouses for Valve. This happened two days ago, and in the picture he posted, we can see five shipments coming in for “Virtual Reality Devices.” This would mark the first time the Steam Frame would be entering the US.

The last time this happened was with the Steam Controller, and an announcement for it came about 3 to 4 weeks later. So, following that logic, we could see an announcement for the Steam Frame by the end of this month, or early next month.

I decided to do some research and look into the shipments, and it was interesting. Over on ImportYeti, the shipments are under Tech Front Chongqing Computer, with Ceva as the customer. Ceva is one of the suppliers for Valve, and they have shipped VR components, specifically the base station, to Valve in the past. However, the timing and coincidence are almost uncanny, so I would say it’s relatively safe to assume that these are shipments of the Frame.

Hopefully, we will see some announcement soon, because I can’t wait to get the Frame in my hands and play some VR.
