MARVEL Cosmic Invasion is now out and features classic beat-em-up gameplay that feels right at home with the Marvel cast. We will have to defend the galaxy with 15 different characters, and utilize tag team mechanics with both local and online co-op to further enjoy the experience. It's a ton of fun, and it got a bit more stable to play on the Steam Deck.

MARVEL Cosmic Invasion

In the first update, there were a bunch of fixes across the entirety of the game, including one very important fix for the Steam Deck. There was an issue with the order of the characters in the character select screen on the Deck, which caused crashes and desyncing when playing online multiplayer. This is no longer an issue, making multiplayer much more enjoyable.

We also have bug fixes that could stop stats from upgrading after leveling up, cinematics not triggering when camera shake effects were shut off, Annihilus endlessly attacking after his shield breaks, and super heroes couldn't use the Vampire modifier in Arcade mode. We also have a wealth of smaller fixes for issues like MODOK's movement, copies of super heroes appearing when confronting Annihilus, and some small graphical shadow errors.

You can check out the full changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post.

MARVEL Cosmic Invasion is on sale for $26.99 until December 15th and is rated Playable due to not supporting the Deck's native display resolution.
