The handheld market is about to grow a bit more again, and it's going to include a new handheld that is going to push power hard. Coming off the heels of the GPD WIN 5, ONE-Netbook announced the OneXFly Apex, their version of a handheld with the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 APU inside. This APU is a powerful beast, and one I am super excited to try for myself, so I am elated to see other manufacturers starting to bring it out.
So far, the OneXFly Apex has been announced to utilize 120W TDP, dual fan cooling with detachable liquid cooling, an 8-inch native landscape screen, 120Hz refresh rate with Variable Refresh Rate support, adjustable multi-stage triggers, and Harman-tuned dual speakers. In their Discord server, the One-Netbook team also posted a breakdown, showing that it will have an 85Wh battery, 2 USB-C ports (1 will be USB4 while the other is USB 3.2), and 1 USB-A port.

It looks like it's going to be a pretty beefy device, and I am so excited to see it. From their YouTube video, it looks like this will look similar to their OneXFly devices in general, and compared to the GPD WIN 5, it will be both bigger and have a larger battery. It doesn't say much about whether it will have a detachable battery, or its weight, but I can say the power is going to be very impressive regardless.

I am looking forward to learning more about the device and seeing what ONE-Netbook is cooking up.
