Verdant Skies was one of the more interesting farming sims I have tried, which focuses heavily on story. Despite lacking some polish, I’ve enjoyed myself with this game more than I expected. Admittedly, it has been a while since the last update, but Verdant Skies got a surprise patch that adds full Steam Deck support.

This was a big change for the game, as you need to access everything on the interface with just the controller for the full Verified status, amongst other things. Full controller support for the Steam Deck is now available, including virtual keyboard additions and a full overhaul of the UI so it plays with a controller.

Furthermore, an upgrade to the code library for the controller support improves performance. This is coupled with some new high-resolution art makes the game look nicer, which is a treat on the OLED Steam Deck model in particular.

Verdant Skies is available on Steam and has a 60% discount until September 12.
