The Legend of Nayuta Coming Fall of This Year

While we knew it was coming, since it has been happening with past games in the series, it is still great to have confirmation! Earlier today, NIS America tweeted through their official Twitter account that The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails is going to be released this fall!

The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails might continue the series, but it does make a little departure from the staple turn-based combat by switching to real-time! While keeping the incredible stories the series is known for, environmental puzzles, and more realized 3D graphics, this will be an awesome game to add to our libraries! The game has also already been released, but it is only supported in Japan, so this will be a world wide release.

For those who are wondering why we would cover a release like this, since it doesn't pertain directly to the Steam Deck, it's because the entire Trails series is incredible to play on the device! While we have only reviewed Trails to Azure, which is amazing and a Best on Deck game, the entire JRPG series fits perfectly on the device. And yes, this include the ones with an "Unsupported" rating.

If you are looking for a deep and interconnected JRPG that spans across a multitude of games, all filled with fantastic stories and turn-based combat, this is the series for you! While you can start at the beginning of any arc, I highly recommend starting with the first game, Trails in the Sky. Each game in the series has references to other games and features characters from them as well. While it isn't necessary, it really helps the series stand out from other JRPGs that have similar games in the series, but independent stories.

This is also the perfect time to get into it since some of the Trails games are on sale! The Trails in the Sky trilogy and Cold Steel 1 and 2 are all on sale, and if you're looking to get started in the series, starting with the Sky trilogy is best. Either way, I can't wait to continue the series with Nayuta!
