Every now and then, Valve will quietly release new Steam Deck Startup movies, and I wish they told us about them more often. These are movies that play when you boot up your Deck, and there are some really great original videos and ones based on other video games. However, it looks like there was a new one that completely flew under our radar, and I can't help but wish it had more going on.

The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered Steam Deck Startup Movie

The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered was released on Steam on April 3rd, and at some point after that, a Steam Deck Startup movie was released for it. Just like all the others, it can be found on the Steam Points shop and costs 3,000 points, equal to $30 worth of purchases. The movie, seen below, can then be equipped and will play whenever you completely power down your Deck and turn it back on:

As much as I appreciate having these startup movies, I wish this one had more to it. It's a little too simple, and I would have hoped it could be a bit more unique, like Metaphor: ReFantazio, Vampire Survivors, or even The Last of Us Part 1's movies. Still, it's better than not having a movie at all, but if you showed that to me, I wouldn't be able to tell you what game it is inspired by.

You can get the new startup movie on the Steam Point Store.
