After months of Oblivion Leaks and a suspected release date for the week of April 21. Bethesda officially teased a reveal stream on April 21, 2025, for April 22, 11 am EST, titled “All will be revealed” on YouTube. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Reveal Stream

Bethesda dives into Oblivion remastered stream with a note from Todd Howard and the team behind Oblivion and how this project is close to the team and focusing on how it’s breathtaking, even from the starting loading screen music.

The showcase then compares Oblivion (2006) to Oblivion Remastered, where the visuals are transformed immensely. The team at Virtous showcased a deep dive into technology and how Unreal Engine 5 helped them achieve the new visuals in Oblivion Remastered. But the team also emphasized that it’s not just about the visual fidelity of the game, but they have secured the essence of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion in the remastered version.

The game will feature better lip syncing, as well as character creation and more life-like models. Apart from visuals and graphics in Oblivion Remastered, the team at Virtuos focused on how leveling has been overhauled and features a mix of both Oblivion and Skyrim in the new Remastered.

The classic voice lines from the original Oblivion are still here, too, from NPC greetings to guards scolding you for your crimes. Lockpicking also makes a return, with a new coat of paint, but similar gameplay mechanics. This again highlights how the team has worked in maintaining the original features of the game.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is available today on PC, Steam, Xbox Series S/X, PS5, and Xbox Game Pass.

The game also has a Deluxe Edition, which features Akatosh and Mehrunes Dagon Armors, Weapons, and Horse Armor Sets. A Digital Artbook and Soundtrack App.
