There were some great new Steam Deck Verified and Playable games that got their badges this week. DOOM: The Dark Ages shockingly got the green checkmark, along with Once Upon a Katamari and BALL x PIT, while Starsand Island and Carimara got their Playable badges.

Here are the 12 highlights we found:

DOOM: The Dark Ages (Verified)

DOOM: The Dark Ages is the prequel to the critically acclaimed DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal that tells an epic cinematic story worthy of the DOOM Slayer’s legend. In this third installment of the modern DOOM series, players will step into the blood-stained boots of the DOOM Slayer, in this never-before-seen dark and sinister medieval war against Hell.

Once Upon a Katamari (Verified)

Once upon a time a katamari rolled through both past and present. In this story across time, the adage endures: Let The Good Times Roll! Now onward through new worlds to roll up thy heart's desires and to restore the stars!

The game can be pre-purchased for $39.99 ahead of its October 23rd release date. It is rated Verified.

BALL x PIT (Verified) (SDHQ Review)

BALL x PIT is a brick-breaking, ball-fusing, base-building survival roguelite. Batter hordes of enemies with ricocheting balls and gather the riches of the pit to expand your homestead, generate resources and recruit unique heroes.

The game is $14.99 and rated Verified.

Starsand Island (Playable)

Leave the hustle of the city behind and embrace life on Starsand Island. Fish, farm, raise animals, and befriend or fall in love with locals to learn their secrets. Customize your world with our DIY system, and invite friends to help build your dream paradise!

The game can be wishlisted ahead of its release next year. It's rated Playable due to needing to manually configure the graphical settings for optimal play and needing to manually bring up the virtual keyboard.

FINAL FANTASY TACTICS - The Ivalice Chronicles (Playable) (SDHQ Review)

Featuring fully voiced dialogue, beautifully enhanced graphics, and countless gameplay improvements, the genre-defining tactical RPG makes its long-awaited return.

The game is $49.99 and is rated Verified.

Atelier Ryza 1-3 DX Edition (Verified)

A definitive edition of the "Secret" series, "Atelier Ryza: Secret Trilogy DX," complete with new stories, playable characters, and features.

The games are $39.99 individually or $89.99 together. They are all rated Verified.

Ready or Not (Verified)

Ready or Not is an intense, tactical, first-person shooter that depicts a modern-day world in which SWAT police units are called to defuse hostile and confronting situations.

The game is $49.99 and is rated Verified.

CARIMARA: Beneath the forlorn limbs (Playable)

A mute little thing with borrowed magic. A house that murmurs back. Ask wrong, and you might wake something that remembers your name.

The game is $4.99 and rated Playable due to small in-game text and showing incorrect controller icons.

Battle Suit Aces (Verified)

From the creators of Battle Chef Brigade comes Battle Suit Aces, a charming card-battling RPG. You'll recruit, befriend, and upgrade mech pilots on a heartfelt hunt for alien superweapons: the Relic Suits. Command them across monster-infested galactic wilds through sci-fi shenanigans and disasters.

Surviving Mars: Relaunched (Playable)

Undusted: Letters from the Past (Verified)

Undusted: Letters from the Past is a casual game in which you clean and restore dirty items. What is her story as she returns to a long-neglected house? Enjoy the satisfying audiovisuals featuring sensually designed sounds and graphics.

The game is $9.99 and is rated Verified.

Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted 2 (Verified)

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 is the sequel to the terrifying VR experience that brought new life to the iconic horror franchise. As a brand new Fazbear employee you’ll have to prove you have what it takes to excel in all aspects of Pizzeria management and maintenance.
