A new Steam Deck Beta Client update was released yesterday that includes a couple of welcome changes. The battery percentage not showing in the header above when it's full is now fixed, and clicking on the battery icon in the header automatically brings you to the power settings. They also made it so Proton Voice Files will be automatically installed based on a game's Steam Deck compatibility testing results.

You can download the update yourself in the System Settings on the Steam Deck. Make sure your update channel is set to Beta or Preview.

  • Fixed battery percentage not showing in the header when the battery is full.
  • Clicking on the battery header icon now navigates to Settings->Power.
  • Proton Voice Files speech synthesis data will now be automatically installed based on Steam Deck compatibility testing results.
