S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 is receiving its first Developer Deep Dive on the 12th of August, in collaboration with Xbox. The video promises to give players the most comprehensive look at the game so far. You'll get to see parts of the game you haven't seen before, in addition to interviews with developers and a look at how the development process has unfolded over the years. And yes, actual gameplay footage has been promised!

Sadly, as had previously been leaked, S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 has been delayed until November 20th so that the team can address some technical issues that have arisen.

The developers are at least taking the delay in good spirits, releasing the following trailer:

A delay is always a shame to see, but at least GSC Game World is apparently in a position where it has the option to delay S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 to make it the best it can be, rather than rush it out. And it's still in time for the holiday season. Here's what the Game's director had to say on the situation:

“We know you might be tired of waiting, and we truly appreciate your patience. These two additional months will give us the chance to fix more “unexpected anomalies” (or simply “bugs”, as you call them). We are always grateful for your ongoing support and understanding - it means the world to us. We’re just as eager as you are to finally release the game and for you to experience it for yourself.”

Yevhen Grygorovych, Game Director @ GSC Game World

S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 is due to launch on Steam on November 20th. It will have full controller support, although the system requirements might push the Steam Deck hard, so we'll have to see how well this one runs.
