Road to Empress is a pretty solid story-rich FMV that we enjoyed quite a bit. While the game carries an Unknown compatibility rating by Valve, it runs perfectly on the Steam Deck from our findings. That deserved Verified badge should come in soon, however, as the September 12 patch has officially added support on the Steam Deck.

This is a very minor patch for Road to Empress, all things considered. Official support for the Deck is in now, which fixes a pretty major issue. The game wouldn't launch at all in game mode, and after this update, we should have no problem playing and launching normally. There is a nice bug fix where sometimes the game would not update its save progress when switching accounts, which is always a nice thing to have sorted.

Road to Empress is still 20% off until September 22 for $6.79, and it is an easy purchase for the price point.
