Valve has been on fire with bringing out some updates to some of the newest games that need a little help getting themselves up and running. Recently, there was an update to the Proton Hotfix compatibility layer that improved performance for Persona 3 Reload, and now, there is a second update improving it further, which is fantastic to see!

In a post from Pierre-Loup Griffais, he confirmed that another update dropped for the layer that further improved performance on the Steam Deck:

After testing the update, I can say that there aren't many improvements to reflections, but there are some nice general performance boosts throughout it! I need to do a bit more testing, but it may be possible to push framerate to 50 FPS for an even smoother experience, though I still did notice a few parts that dropped to 45. I will need to do some in-depth testing and will re-evaluate our review, but for now, I think it's safe to say this is a welcome update!

You can download the Proton Hotfix layer by searching it on the Steam Store on your Steam Deck, then just go to the Compatibility tab of Persona 3 Reload's preferences and select "Proton Hotfix."
