Thanks to GamingOnLinux for highlighting this news first.

Last year, shortly after the launch of HELLDIVERS 2, PlayStation made the rather interesting decision to make PSN accounts mandatory for some of their games, before quickly backtracking due to community backlash. Unfortunately, by that point, they had restricted these games to countries that supported PSN, meaning these games were no longer purchasable in over 100 countries.

Fortunately, it seems like PlayStation has reversed the decision, at least for most of their games, and is now allowing HELLDIVERS 2, God of War Ragnarok, The Last of Us Part II Remastered, and Marvel's Spider-Man 2 to be purchased in almost every country, whilst adding Russia as a blocked country for these games. It seems like Ghost of Tsushima and Until Dawn are still restricted; hopefully, that's just a temporary issue.

Were you one of those affected by this issue? Will you be buying any of these PlayStation games now that they're more easily accessible? Let us know in the comments below.
