A special Nintendo Direct aired today, featuring both an Indie World presentation as well as a Nintendo Partner Showcase. The Indie World presentation focuses on smaller indie games that are coming to the system, whereas the Partner Showcase focuses more on Nintendo's partners, typically larger publishers and developers.
It's not just about Nintendo though, while publishers may choose to feature their games in the event, most games shown during these Nintendo Directs also come to other platforms, so let's take a look at the announcements and see which should interest us as PC gamers!
PC Gaming News from the Nintendo Direct:
Tales of Graces f Remastered Announced, Launching January 17th 2025
The highlight of the Nintendo Direct for many was the surprise announcement that Tales of Grace f, a PS3 game from 2010, was being remastered for modern platforms and audiences, with new features such as auto-save and disabling of random encounters. The remastered version launches on January 17th, 2025.
Atelier Yumia is a New Game in the Franchise, Starring a Brand New Protagonist, Coming Early 2025
I don't know much about this franchise, I didn't even know that the name of the protagonist in each game was in the title, but if you do like the Atelier games, then you'll be glad to know that a new game in the series is coming early next year.
Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma Announced, Coming Spring 2025
Another one that came as a surprise to me, the next Rune Factory game will be making its way to PC in Early 2025. Unlike previous Rune Factory releases, it seems like the game might be launching simultaneously worldwide, as well as a simultaneous release on the Nintendo Switch and PC platforms.
Capcom Fighting Collection 2 Announced, 8 More Classics Coming Your Way in 2025
Capcom is pumping out these collections, and now they're doing a second Fighting Collection, including the likes of Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro, Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001, Capcom Fighting Evolution, Street Fighter Alpha 3 UPPER, Project Justice, Power Stone, Power Stone 2, and Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein. All of these games support multiplayer, both online and local.
Suikoden I & II HD Remaster Announced, Coming March 6th, 2025
The classic JRPGs are back (a bit of a theme during this event, right?), this HD remaster of Suikoden I & II features upgraded illustrations, new visual effects, updated sounds, auto-save, as well as the ability to fast-forward battles. It's launching March 6th, 2025.
Morsels is a Top-Down Rogue-Lite Shooter Coming in February 2025
Another game shown that's launching on PC is Morsels, this top-down rogue-lite shooter puts you in the role of a mouse in a world that's dominated by cats, can you build your army of creatures and end their domination? Find out in February 2025.
Coffee Talk Tokyo is the Next Game in the Series, Coming 2025
If you thought Coffee Talk was over, then don't worry, Chorus Worldwide and Toge Productions are bringing it back with Coffee Talk Tokyo. Run your cozy coffee shop, where both humans and Yokai will frequent to share their stories.
PICO PARK 2 is Here to Make You Hate Your Friends, September 12th, 2024!
If you've played the original PICO PARK, you know it can be a lesson in patience depending on who you're playing with. Well, the creators, not content with ruining as many friendships as they have, are back with PICO PARK 2, which looks like it might be even more difficult, so go and grab that friend you want to stop talking to and enjoy!
Tetris Forever is a Huge Collection of Classic Tetris Titles, Coming in 2024
Tetris Forever is a nostalgia trip, featuring more than 15 classic variations of Tetris, including a brand new Tetris called Tetris Time Warp, where up to 4 friends can battle it out whilst the game changes between different eras of Tetris. The game launches later this year.
The Castlevania Dominus Collection Brings 3 DS Games to Steam, Out Now!
As far as I'm aware, the one and only actual game release that was shadow-dropped during the event. This collection includes 3 Castlevania games that were originally released on the Nintendo DS, as well as a reimagining of the very first Castlevania arcade game. It's available now on Steam.
Moth Kubit is a New RPG Where you Play as a... Moth, Coming Early 2025
Clearly, there are not enough games around where you play as a moth. But Moth Kubit is here to rectify the situation! In this experimental RPG, you'll play as a corporate worker who embarks on an adventure to save bug-kind from an event known as "The Final Process", there are multiple endings, so which one will you find?
Star Overdrive is an Open-World Action-Adventure Title Launching in 2025
Use your powers to explore a massive world on your Hoverboard at lightning speed, and face multitudes of enemies and epic bosses. Use your powers in creative ways to overcome challenges, solve world puzzles, and shape your destiny!
This one looked like it might have been a little heavy to run on the Switch, but hopefully, the Steam Deck will handle it.
Sea of Stars: Throes of the Watchmaker Free DLC Revealed - Coming Spring 2025
Fans of Sea of Stars are in for a treat, with a new adventure and character coming their way. Throes of the Watchmaker is a free DLC for the game, and it will launch in Spring 2025.
Neva Gets a Release Date of October 15th, 2024
Neva, an adventure game from the creators of Gris, has been teased a few times over the past few months but has now received a release date of October 15th, 2024.

Have you ever looked at your kitchen cabinet and thought: "Wow, I'd really like to take get to know them and take them out on a date." No? Well, Date Everything! might make you change your mind. That's right, Date Everything! is a game where you get to meet and potentially date, various household objects around your house! It sounds weird because it is weird!
On Your Tail, A Story-Driven Life Sim, Releases November 21st, 2024
On Your Tail is a life sim with a sleuth-y twist. Enjoy your relaxing trip, get to know the inhabitants of the local village, and see if you can't solve some mysteries while you're at it.
Balatro Collaborates with The Witcher 3, Dave the Diver, Vampire Survivors, and Among Us
A bit of a smaller update on this one, namely that you can now have The Witcher 3, Dave the Diver, Vampire Survivors, and Among Us-themed decks in your games of Balatro. It's a free update, and it's out now.
PowerWash Simulator is Getting Shrek DLC, Coming Soon
You can finally clean up Shrek's swamp in the latest DLC coming to PowerWash Simulator, featuring 5 maps based on the franchise, as well as adding a new Knight cosmetic for players to dress up as while they do all that work!
