Medieval fantasy sim Norland has a big summer update that continues to improve upon its early access development. It also remains on sale for another two weeks!
Norland continues to improve and the devs have been incredibly receptive to player feedback. The headline of the update is expanded art style with multiple models for houses, and gameplay sees some big changes to how the game’s economy runs.
Lords are finally allowed to use their own gold funds to buy rings – major status symbols within the game – and give them as gifts, removing the need for players to micro-manage the process. The Lords also use their gold for other tasks, such as purchasing food and resources.

The long-awaited politics mechanics are also making their debut. Lords whose loyalty drops too far will become politicians, who will then spend their money to do horrible political things. If they are too disloyal, they might even use force!
Norland is available on Steam, and you can check out our review of it here. What do you think of the new update? Let us know in the comments!
