With just over 2 weeks to go, Nintendo has finally spoken up about which of their first-party Nintendo Switch games are due to get free updates for the Nintendo Switch 2, and what each update will consist of. It is worth noting that these are separate from the "Nintendo Switch 2 Edition" range, which, as stated on the Nintendo website, may contain "Contents and enhancements of the upgrades [that] differ depending on the game. The list is worth reading into, as it may hint towards future Nintendo Switch 2 Edition game releases. It's curious why New Super Mario Bros.™ U Deluxe is getting an update that includes a higher resolution upgrade. Still, the vastly superior and more recently released Super Mario Bros. Wonder is absent. Could this be coming in the near future?

It's important to remember that some games target 60FPS on Switch even if they'll never make it to that number (eg. Link's Awakening), so the NS2 processing power alone will be enough of a performance boost.
Also, for things that seem suspiciously absent, there'll probably be some sort of paid upgrade pack or sequel. Like they'd probably rather make Mario Maker 3 or Splatoon 4 than enhance those, and there'll probably be an upgrade pack/DLC for Mario Wonder & the Xenoblade games.
That's a good point! And I hope they do it for the Xenoblade games. Those are some of my favorites.
