Dotemu and The Game Kitchen just dropped a first look at NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound's second playable character.

A demon-slaying gameplay trailer has been released by Publisher Dotemu (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, Streets of Rage 4) and developer The Game Kitchen (Blasphemous series). They tease the debut of Kumori, the second protagonist of NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound. The game combines elements of modern NINJA GAIDEN with the classic in an all-new 2D sidescrolling action platformer. It is set to launch in Summer 2025 on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.

We see Kumori, a member of the antagonistic Black Spider Clan central to the NINJA GAIDEN series, in the newly released footage. Kumori has a unique fighting style that defies the traditional rules of battle. She comes with unique weapons in her arsenal and demonic power to achieve her goals and overcome the challenges.

Kenji and Kumori join forces by forgiving the grudges of their clans in the demonic era. They need to use the power that combines Kumori’s spirit with Kenji’s to survive in this harsh world.

The journey will be filled with several challenges, including the deadliest monsters. Defeating them will require them to wield their fusion to enhance their talents together.

NINJA GAIDEN Ragebound

NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound offers upgradable abilities, hidden collectibles, unlockable secret missions, optional challenges, and much more. High-quality pixel art brings the environments and menacing cast of enemies to life.

NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound is launching on Steam in the Summer of 2025. It has full controller support and should easily run on the Steam Deck according to the system requirements.
