Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel has been in early access on Steam since January, enjoying pretty decent success with over 200,000 sales since it launched, but we've now received information on the game's full release, which is due on September 3rd, 2025.

Here's a gameplay trailer from the last update the game received, to give you an idea of the game.

The 1.0 update on September 3rd brings with it a wealth of new content, including a new map, Helheim, based on the idea of Nordic Hell, as well as a new Class, the Kinslayer, a new Endless Mode, and a new Deity who will guide you and lend you their powers.

The game contains no microtransactions, but you can purchase the "Founders Edition" on Steam to gain access to some unique cosmetics.

Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel will also be releasing on consoles in the future. I did ask about a potential Switch / Switch 2 release, and the developers said it is planned, but won't be in the immediate future. So for now, you'll be best off playing on your Steam Deck, the game is Steam Deck Verified, so it should be a good time on the go.

You can purchase Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel in Early Access on Steam now, and there is also a demo for you to test if you want to get a feel for the game before buying.
