Remedy Entertainment has announced a content update and plan for FBC: Firebreak to improve and understand the game based on player feedback. FBC: Firebreak is a three-player co-op FPS where the Federal Bureau of Control’s first-response unit must contain an escalating paranormal threat.

The first major update of this action-adventure title will be available in September. The developers will be focusing on key areas like helping players understand the game, upgrading the gunplay, new ways to play, and a new job.
The onboarding process and tutorial level will be improved, allowing players to learn the game’s mechanics quickly. Players will get more flexibility over their weapons with the new gun mods system. Three new weapons are also coming to the game, along with generic upgrades. The developers are also making changes where you access Jobs, providing additional paths to play the game with more surprises.

A new handcrafted level, three Zones, a new status effect, and two additional formidable foes are also coming in this major update.
FBC: Firebreak offers intense action, along with a multiplayer PvE experience in the Control universe. Jobs are the replayable missions in the game, and each comes with new, unique challenges and objectives. Team synergy and adaptability are the key to completing every challenge that the game has to offer. FBC: Firebreak will be expanded with post-launch content by Remedy. One good news for players is that all the upcoming Jobs will be free for all. You can purchase cosmetics, but they will not have any kind of influence on the gameplay.

* "uninspiring" is the word 😅
As much I love Remedy, this game was dead on arrival. Nothing clicks and the gameplay loop is, as much as it breaks my heart saying it, extremely inspiring and bland. There's no story or motivation to keep playing it. The fact I can't care at all about the characters doesn't help and after coming from Warhammer Vermintide 2, I can't understand how or why Remedy invested in it. Well, the 37 players playing it on Steam (I'm not making that up) says it all.
Bring me Control 2 or another DLC for AW2 and I'll be all in.
