Those of you looking forward to the upcoming FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves game had better sit up in your seats, as SNK has just announced that they will be running an Open Beta test for the game from February 20th-24th on Steam (as well as consoles). The game is releasing on April 24th, 2025, so you'll get the chance to play it a couple of months early if you join the beta.

So what will you have access to in the FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves beta? SNK has promised players access to 8 different characters to choose from, and you'll be able to play them in Ranked, Casual, and "Room" matches online. You'll also be able to play the offline Training mode if you aren't confident enough to take the fight online yet.

There will be 2 control schemes for players to choose from, designed to fit new players and pros alike.

SNK has also said that any progress made during the beta will not carry on into the final release.

Presumably, when the time comes, there will be a button placed on the Steam store page for the game where you'll be able to request access to join the open beta.

FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves is due to launch on April 24th, 2025, with the open beta running from February 20th to 24th. You can pre-order the game now for $59.99.
