I remember when Action RPG Death Trash was released into early access four years ago, and I was blown away. The gorgeous post-apocalyptic world was engaging, the gameplay was enjoyable, and the environment and character designs were hauntingly beautiful. It is a joy to play on the Steam Deck as well, and it has a native Linux version on top of that. And with the new update, it should be nicer to play on the Deck with some UI adjustments.

DeathTrash

Death Trash's new update, which comes over a year after the last one, has some nice improvements and features to make gameplay a lot easier to enjoy. On the Steam Deck side, the UI has been increased in some of the content windows due to them being a bit on the small side. This should make it easier to see the content on these windows, and with how much information can be shown on screens, this is a wonderful change. There have also been some nice performance improvements in general and the world map, and some memory leak fixes.

The rest of the patch focuses primarily on the UI and map. The map overview now has multiple tabs if a level hub has sub areas, and the inventory has been adjusted to make sure resources and mind are infinite. The merchant UI now highlights "trash" items when selling them, and there's a new toggle for hardware visuals on the item slot context menu. There have also been a plethora of gameplay, usability, and bug fixes across the board with this new version.

You can check out the changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post.
