The 8.00 Public Beta for X4: Foundations is finally live, also known as the Diplomacy update. The free major Diplomacy Update adds more strategic depth to the game and is yet another tool in your arsenal. You can check the complete changelog in Steam News or the Feedback forum of Public Beta.

The 8.00 update for X4: Foundations brings in the Diplomacy system, new gameplay features, along with three main key features, are included in this new system.
The Embassy Room is one of three main components that offer new ways to interact. Not only can you unlock the new embassy facility at your Player Headquarters (PHQ), but also make this room a hub for your diplomatic negotiations. Research at the PHQ or use the new UI tab to access it. Faction diplomats require friendly relations to get accepted. Gain a better overview of your relationships via the new Factions and Relations menus.
There is a new class of hireable NPCs known as Agents, who specialize in negotiation or espionage. These agents can then do tasks such as spying on enemy ships.
There are new types of missions that can be embarked on by your Agents in this update, too, allowing you to spend credits to conduct various espionage missions and more.
You can trigger and influence dynamic diplomatic standing between NPC factions. The galaxy is highly influenced, along with the trade partners and supply chains shifting due to the change in faction relations. Trade disputes, Cyber attacks, Suspicions of espionage, Peace talks, and Territorial claims are covered in these events that depend on real inter-faction relations.
The biggest question that arises here is how you can unlock the new Diplomacy features. Dal Busta will contact you to introduce some exciting chances after getting your Player Headquarters and completing the Hatikvah Trade Revolution storyline.
The developers will check all player feedback during the Public Beta and will discuss with the team before the full release of the X4: Foundations Diplomacy Update.

Use the Public Beta Feedback forum to share your feedback or report any bugs. Carefully go through all Public Beta Rules and Information before doing so.
The modification in the layout of the X4 universe map is another change among other UI improvements. You can easily read the map, as the sectors are now grouped. Argon architects have shared their blueprints for 5 new connection modules in the 8.00 update. This will surely create additional ways for station design aficionados. Visit the Construction Community in our forums after sharing your station plans. The development in the X4: Foundation doesn’t stop despite the start of Public Beta.
X4: Foundations is available to play on Steam, and for the Steam Summer Sale is available at a 70% discount for 14.99 USD.
