I am a huge fan of playing roguelike shooters on the Steam Deck, and 20 Minutes Till Dawn is a fantastic option in this genre. The endless hordes coming at you, mixed with great twin-stick gameplay, are addicting, and you won't have to pay any money to try it for yourself since it's Epic's next free game for the 2023 holidays!

20 Minutes Till Dawn stands apart from its competitors with a great dynamic skill system, persistent upgrades that go across all runs, and a wonderful visual aesthetic. The game is rated Steam Deck Verified, which I would agree with, but like other survivor roguelikes, it can dip a little when there are too many enemies on screen.

You can get 20 Minutes Till Dawn for free to keep on Epic for the next 23 hours before the next game unlocks, and this one goes back to its sale price. You can redeem the game on the Epic Games Store. To play games from Epic on the Deck, you will need to either install the Heroic Games Launcher, which you can find on the Discover Store, or install the client directly, which you can do easily through a 3rd party script.
