Summer Games Fest - Highlights From the Stream

Summer Games Fest's stream wrapped up moments ago and damn, it was a doozy! We had announcements left and right that, while some were expected, was completely insane. Here are highlights from the stream that we found:

New Prince of Persia Title Announced

Starting us off, a new Prince of Persia title was announced from Ubisoft called Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. It will be released on January 18th, 2024. More will be shown at the next Ubisoft Forward.

Mortal Kombat 1 Extended Gameplay Shown

The extended gameplay trailer showed off some of the new visuals, which shows off some of the new redesigns for classic characters like Kenshi, Raiden, and Kung-Lao. It also shows off some of how the Kameo characters and how they will be integrated into fights. They also showed off the Xray-like attacks and fatalities, which look even more gory than ever before.

There was also a character select screen showed a character select screen, which has 24 squares for characters, and 16 slots for Kameo characters.

Path of Exile 2 First Look Gameplay

The next Path of Exile game, promptly named Path of Exile 2, had a small tease with some gameplay. More info coming on July 28th.

Street Fighter 6 Collab Update With Exoprimal

In July, there will be a collaboration update where Street Fighter 6 skins will come to Exoprimal.

Nicolas Cage Coming to Dead by Daylight

While we knew about this before, it was shown that Nicolas Cage is coming to Dead by Daylight on July 25th. Nicolas Cage will be a survivor in-game and you can test it in the public test build a little earlier.

Classic Sonic the Hedgehog Back with Sonic Superstars

SEGA is bringing a new Sonic game out that will be styled similarly to the classic games, but with a new visual style, new characters like Knuckles and Amy, multiplayer, and more. Coming in Fall 2023.

Lies of P Release Date Revealed with Demo Live Now

A new Lies of P trailer was shown off that showed more gameplay, some of the world, and announced the release date for the game, which will be September 19th of this year. The demo is also now available on Steam!

Sand Land - New Game From Akira Toriyama Announced

A new game from Dragon Ball creator, Akira Toriyama, called SandLand has been announced. No release date yet, but it looks amazing!

Alan Wake 2 Raw Gameplay Shown - More Details Given

Survival horror game, two playable characters (Alan Wake and Saga) you will switch to throughout the story. It is a sequel, as well as a standalone experience. This means it can be enjoyed without playing the previous game.

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 Co-op Campaign Footage

Some new footage of the co-op campaign for Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 was shown off, giving us a new look at the insane gameplay this will crack up to be! The game will support up to 2 others in this campaign for a total of 3 people. The game will be released this winter.

John Carpenter's Toxic Commando Announced

A new game from Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment was announced! John Carpenter's Toxic Command is a first-person shooter where you will fight against crazy monsters and zombies. Will be coming in 2024.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Announced for October Release

While this is a PS5 exclusive, Spider-Man 2's director was brought onto the stage and announced that Spider-Man 2 will be released on October 20th of this year.

Palworld - Pokemon With Guns - Comes To Early Access in January

PalWorld, a pokemon-esque game, was announced to come to early access in January next year!

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name Gameplay Shown

The next Like a Dragon/Yakuza game showed off some gameplay and man, it looks amazing!

More Immortals of Aveum Gameplay Shown

More gameplay for the upcoming first-person game, Immortals of Aveum, was shown off. The gameplay shows an epic scene taking place on a moving titan where you have to fight and defend the Titan! The game will be released July 20th.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Trailer - Release Window + 2 Discs

A new trailer for the next game in the remade Final Fantasy VII series was shown off. Showcases new places, team attacks, and more of the story, It also announced that the game will be released early next year to PS5 and will be released on two discs.

And those are the highlights we found from the Summer Games Fest presentation! There are still a lot more announcements and showcases to come, but this is pretty amazing so far!
