There are some fantastic new Steam Deck Verified and Playable games this week. The Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2, which contains MGS 4 and Peace Walker, got the green checkmark, while BioEden and SpeedRunners 2 got the Playable badge.

Here are the 10 highlights we found:

Verified or Playable games don't automatically mean they work amazingly out of the box. Some of these games may require work to optimize and play well. Here are our thoughts on the system and how it can be fixed.

METAL GEAR SOLID MASTER COLLECTION VOL. 2 (Verified)

This second installment to the collection features “Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots” and “Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (HD Collection version),” and also a digital soundtrack and "Metal Gear: Ghost Babel" as bonus content.

The game is $49.99 and is rated Verified.

Everspace 2 (Verified)

EVERSPACE 2 is a fast-paced single-player spaceship shooter with exploration in space and on planets, tons of loot, RPG elements, mining, and crafting. Experience an exciting sci-fi story set in a vivid, handcrafted open world full of secrets, puzzles, and perils.

The game is on sale for $9.99 until September 16th and is rated Verified.

TOEM 2 (Verified)

Step back into the shoes of a curious photographer and set off on a brand new adventure all about uncovering hidden details, helping friends along the way, and documenting the world’s little wonders in TOEM 2, the sequel to the acclaimed TOEM.

The game will be released on September 28th and is rated Verified.

Serious Sam: Shatterverse (Verified)

Serious Sam: Shatterverse is a co-op roguelite FPS for 1 - 5 players. Blast through shifting universes, stack wild boons, bend the rules with run modifiers, and hunt Mental's deadliest forces. Fall fast. Come back louder.

The game is $19.99 and is rated Verified.

LEGO Worlds (Verified)

Experience a galaxy of Worlds made entirely from LEGO bricks. EXPLORE gigantic landscapes, DISCOVER countless surprises, and CREATE anything you can imagine by building with LEGO bricks.

The game is $29.99 and is rated Verified.

BioEden (Playable)

Step into a cozy management journey as a Keeper and bring life back to a world quietly waiting to be healed. Craft the perfect biome for dozens of wonderful animal species and use your ingenuity to restore your planet, one ecosystem at a time.

The game is $21.99 and is rated Playable due to small in-game text.

SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed (Playable)

SpeedRunners 2 is a high-speed multiplayer platformer where rival superheroes face off in breakneck races using parkour, grappling hooks, and game-changing power-ups. Fall behind, and a shrinking ring of fire eliminates you – until only one runner remains.

The game is on sale for $8.99 until September 18th and is rated Playable due to showing incorrect controller icons.

iRacing® Studios NASCAR 26 (Playable)

The official game of NASCAR is back and better than ever with NASCAR 26! Battle your way through all four NASCAR National Series in Career, Quick Race, Championship, Multiplayer, or our all new mode featuring The Chase!

The game can be pre-purchased for $59.99 ahead of its September 18th release date. It’s rated Playable due to needing to manually bring up the virtual keyboard and small in-game text.

Wasteland 2 Director’s Cut (Playable)

From the producer of the original Fallout comes Wasteland 2. With over 80 hours of gameplay, deck out your Ranger squad with devastating weaponry, test the limits of your strategy skills, and bring justice to the Wasteland! The choices are yours…but so are the consequences.

The game is $29.99 and is rated Playable due to the third party launcher, needing a community controller configuration, showing incorrect controller icons, needing to manually bring up the virtual keyboard, small in-game text, and needing to enable control support manually.

Final Fantasy 16 (Verified, but it shouldn’t be)

An epic dark fantasy where fates are decided by mighty Eikons and the Dominants who wield them. This is the tale of Clive Rosfield, a tragic warrior who swears revenge on the Dark Eikon Ifrit, a mysterious entity that leaves naught but calamity in its wake.

The game is $49.99 and is rated Verified, but I found multiple issues when it comes to performance, especially in cutscenes and running around. So, despite the rating, I don’t recommend playing this on the Steam Deck.
