Going back and playing previously released video games is always a fun time. It’s like I’m going back through history, seeing how games have developed and gotten to the point where they are now. However, there have been cases of developers or publishers pulling their games from sale, making it so we can never see them again. These titles are usually better known as Abandonware, which is quite sad. And unfortunately, it looks like there’s going to be another game victim to this treatment.

Announced quietly a few days ago, LEGO 2K Drive is being delisted from stores. This means that the game will no longer be purchasable after May 19th, which is in three days. For those who already have the game, you will still be able to download and play it, but you won’t be able to play it online with friends after May 31st of next year (2027).
Honestly, it’s quite disappointing to see this. While I’m not a huge fan of racing games, I did actually enjoy what I’ve played of LEGO 2K Drive. It probably never took off the way 2K expected, but either way, it is a fun game. And seeing any game get delisted like this always makes me a little sad. It’s also a shame that there isn’t any last-minute sale because the game is disappearing, which is something I’ve seen happen to others.
Thankfully, for those who do have the game, we have another year to play online. And the game will still be playable offline, even after online servers go down. But regardless, it’s a shame that it’s happening at all.

LEGO 2K Drive is $19.99 on Steam and is rated Steam Deck Verified, but if you wanna save some money, you can get it on GreenManGaming for $16.49 using coupon code MAY15. It will be taken off of Steam on May 19th.
