Seeing the Steam Deck expand to new areas it can ship to has always been a blast, even if it is a bit late to the party. So is the case for Australia finally being able to purchase and get the Steam Deck shipped directly to anyone in the country. While it is late, it's still bringing one of the best handheld devices to a new place, and now, you can purchase it for yourself if you live in the area!

SteamDeckAustraliaAnnouncement

Starting yesterday, the Steam Deck LCD and OLED models can officially be purchased in Australia, something that users have requested for a long time. As we previously noted, you will be able to purchase the different models for:

  • 256GB LCD: $649 AUD
  • 512GB OLED: $899 AUD
  • 1TB OLED: $1,049 AUD

On the Steam Deck's page, it mentions that it will take around 6-10 business days to ship it to Australia.

We also have the new White Limited Edition Steam Deck OLED, which also released yesterday! For those in the US, you will be able to grab it for $679. It is also available in all current countries that the Steam Deck can ship to, including Australia (which has it for $1,099 AUD). This a limited edition model, so it will only be sold in smaller quantities. There are no plans to make a return, so it's best to purchase it now to secure getting this incredible-looking model!

If you don't want to buy another Steam Deck just to get a White shell, you can also buy one from JSAUX or eXtremeRate and install it yourself, but it will take some technical know-how and it requires opening the device up. If you aren't confident in taking apart electronics, I would skip this or ask someone you know who can help.

Regardless of how late it is, it's great that Australians can now get the Deck for themselves to see how great playing PC games on the go is!
