Retroid has been getting a lot of buzz lately for its Pocket 6, and for good reason. The handheld boasts a good chunk of power with a beautiful presentation for a very cheap price. However, while it went on pre-order after it was officially announced, it was taken down while Retroid held a poll to re-design the layout. Now, with the layout being finalized, the Retroid Pocket 6 is available for pre-order again!

There are four models that we can choose from this time around, along with 5 different colorways. We can choose between having the left Joystick above or below the D-Pad, so we can decide if we want a asymmetrical or symmetrical joystick layout, and whether we want 8GB RAM + 128GB storage or 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. Every color is priced the same, while the 8GB RAM model is $209 and the 12GB RAM model is $259.
The Pocket 6 is packing some fantastic power as well. It is using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, which should be good for some PS3 and Switch emulation, as well as a gorgeous 1920x1080 AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also features a pretty sizable 6000mAh battery, supports WiFi 7, and has a 3.5mm audio jack with a Micro SD card slot for extra storage.
I am extremely excited for the handheld, as it looks like a great competitor to the AYN Thor. It is a cheaper price with the same chip, Android OS, and AMOLED screen, which is pretty amazing. It doesn't have the dual screens, so DS emulation won't be as enjoyable, but for $90 less, it's a pretty nice choice for those looking for single-screen emulation and playing some Android games.

The Retroid Pocket 6 is available on the Retroid website starting at $209.99.
