The Steam Deck Verified badge has been a tough one to get behind sometimes, and I have seen it going out to more and more games that shouldn't quite have it. Now, we may have another one, with The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered getting the green checkmark ahead of its launch. And while I want to stay optimistic, I do have a hard time feeling this way.

The game officially got the compatibility rating about 30 minutes ago at the time of writing, and while I did express some optimism before, my tune has changed slightly. This badge technically means the game should be playable right out of the box without any tweaking, but I have seen Valve pre-emptively push this badge out a bit more recently, and now I am having my doubts.
This is mostly due to Marvel's Spider-Man 2 getting the Verified badge ahead of its release, and just recently, it was downgraded to Playable due to its need for graphical settings changes. I also played the game on launch day, and I was experiencing performance drops and even a crash or two. The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered has nearly identical minimum system requirements to Spider-Man 2, with the exception of the AMD CPU requirement being lower. However, the Intel CPU requirement is the same, so it's a little odd.
Regardless, I do hope the game will be more playable than Spider-Man 2 and deserve that Verified badge. It could be playable, we did see big releases like Assassin's Creed Shadows running decently on Deck, and I do trust Nixxes Software when it comes to ports, but it just may be too much for the Deck to fully handle. Still, I will hold out hope!

The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered is available on Steam for $49.99.

I've never been able to play either of the TLOU games, as I'm not really a PS kind of guy, and my only (decently powerful) PC is my Deck, so it would certainly be nice to have it as an option to play. I loved watching the show so I think the games may be my taste as well.
Hope as your wish, but I gotta day nixxes didnt do a good Job according to The System requirment
