It has been exciting to see the announcement of Retroid's next handheld, and while it had some changes after it had originally gone on pre-order, it will be back and available for pre-order starting on November 2nd at 9:00pm ET.

Retroid Pocket 6

Pre-orders had initially gone live for the Retroid Pocket 6 when it was announced, but it was taken down. This is due to Retroid deciding to host a poll confirming a re-design of the device and seeing what their customers would want. In the end, it was decided that there would be two optional designs, depending on where you want the D-Pad and Joystick on the left side. Now, after confirming on their Discord server, and on Twitter/X, it seems pre-orders will be opening back up starting tomorrow, and it's extremely exciting to see.

It's going to be an interesting device. It sports the same powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip that the AYN Thor has, which I have fallen in love with, but it will be almost $100 cheaper. It does only have one 5.5-inch screen, but it is OLED, which makes me very happy.

You can get the Retroid Pocket 6 over on the Retroid website starting tomorrow night, and I, for one, am looking forward to it! However, Retroid also announced the Pocket G2, which is a solid upgrade over the Pocket 5 and is available now.
