A new Steam Deck Beta Client update was released that brings with it a couple of fixes. The Steam client will no longer fail to reload during a render process crash, the virtual keyboard scale has been fixed, notifications of in-game popups won't fail anymore, and the Steam+X shortcut during remote play streaming will work as intended.

You can download the update yourself in the System Settings on the Steam Deck. Make sure your update channel is set to Beta or Preview.

General

  • Fixed Steam client failing to reload or showing dialogs unexpectedly after a render process crash.

Desktop Mode

  • Fixed scaling of on-screen keyboard when accessibility display scaling is enabled.
  • Fixed notifications and find-in-page popups intermittently failing to close or focus.

Remote Play

  • Fixed the Steam+X shortcut to bring up the on-screen keyboard while streaming
