The Metro series is one of my favorite first-person shooters to play, and I still can't get enough of it. The games are gorgeous with an interesting story set in a post-apocalyptic world. There are three games in the mainline series, starting with Metro 2033 Redux, and for the next two days, you can get a copy of it for free to keep!

Metro 2033 Redux

Over on Steam and GOG, you have two days to redeem the game and add it to your account completely for free. Just head over to their respective store pages, or both if you want a Steam and DRM-free GOG copy, and add them to your account/library. After that, you have it forever!

It's a great game to play on the Steam Deck, too. It runs like a charm at 45 FPS with higher quality settings and has some options to go lower for even higher framerates. It also has a native Linux branch too, so you don't need to use Proton to run the game. It's one of the best single-player shooters to enjoy on the go, and I can't recommend it enough.

The rest of the series is also on sale currently. You can get Metro Last Light Redux for $2.99 and Metro Exodus for $7.49. Both of those are fantastic deals as well, and with every game running great on the Deck and being Steam Deck Verified, you can't go wrong getting the Metro Saga Bundle for $11.51 and save a couple of dollars (since it comes with Exodus' expansion pass).

Regardless, Metro 2033 Redux is completely free on Steam for 2 days, so get over there and grab it!
