Mai from Fatal Fury is Now Available in Street Fighter 6

Fatal Fury fans who are excited about their new game later this year will be happy to know that Mai Shiranui, one of the characters from the franchise, has been released today as a DLC fighter for Capcom's Street Fighter 6.

She'll be present in Fighting Ground, World Tour, and the Battle Hub.

Her movelist and looks are inspired by classic Fatal Fury games from SNK, with 2 outfits present, with Outfit 1 based on her classic style in previous Fatal Fury games, and Outfit 2 being based on her new style in the upcoming Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves game. Outfit 2 can be unlocked with Fighter Coins or by maxing out your bond with Mai in the World Tour mode.

If you own the Year 2 Character Pass or Ultimate Pass, you'll automatically have access to her in Street Fighter 6.

It's not just Mai that's been added in the latest Street Fighter 6 update though, FGC Competitor and Street Fighter 6 Battle Director Woshige has arrived as a V-Rival in the Battle Hub, where you can challenge them to a fight.

New ranks are being added to the Master League, as well as new rewards for late-game players when they've already achieved master ranks with certain characters. Your matchmaking will also be based on your previous Phase's ranking at the start of a new Phase.

There are also improvements to replay features, new local tournament mode settings, and a Match Restore feature that allows players to get back into a match if they suffer a disconnect.

The Mai Fighting Pass has also landed, where you'll be able to unlock avatar gear and cosmetics inspired by Mai's outfit.

Street Fighter 6 is available now on Steam for $59.99, although it is 50% off right now until February 10th, so it might be a good time to pick it up if you've been waiting for a sale. Mai is available as DLC included in the Year 2 Character Pass or Ultimate Pass.
