Lumines Arise is quite possibly one of the best rhythm games I have ever played. It feels like an offshoot of Tetris, where you have to mix and match blocks in squares to get them consistently eliminated from the board. The more you get rid of at a time, the higher your score, and with an incredible soundtrack, the experience is quite addictive. And now it just got a whole lot easier to open it up and play on the Steam Deck without needing to make any changes.

Lumines Arise

In the game's newest patch, we have a brand new graphics setting for the game called "Handheld Mode." This is a graphics preset that is optimized specifically for the Steam Deck and other handheld devices like the ROG Ally or Legion Go. It doesn't go into detail about what specifically changes with this new mode, but any changes that improve playability on the Steam Deck are ones to get excited about.

The new update also comes with some bug fixes and changes throughout the game. Items unlocked and available will now sort to the top of each category in Customize, you can retain block position during transitions in Journey Mode, the game will now close properly, and some UI and text issues were fixed up.

You can check out the full changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post.
