It's hard for me to deny how much I love playing heavy co-op games, and developer Hazelight makes some of the best. I remember playing A Way Out with friends and it was a blast, and their next title, It Takes Two, is even better! To make things even better, a new update for the game was just released an hour ago, removing EA Launcher DRM and integrating Steam features to play the game wonderfully on Steam and the Steam Deck!

The new update is amazing and makes me extremely excited to re-download and get back into the game. The biggest feature of the update, for me at least, is the removal of the EA App launcher, meaning there's no need to go through an extra launcher to get into the game! You do still need an EA account to play online, but you can send game invites and join friends through Steam directly (and use Steam cloud saves). You can also use the new Steam version of the Friend's Pass, and Family Sharing is now available, and yes, you can still play with friends on the EA App!

All of this has earned the game a green checkmark to show it has been Steam Deck Verified, and this is well deserved! The biggest issue is getting around the EA login from the launcher, so with this removed, it should be significantly better to play on the go. This is fantastic, too, considering how great the game is and how cool an experience it can be when you and a friend are playing on your Steam Decks together.

You can check out the details of the announcement through their Steam Community Post. It also seems the game has removed Denuvo Anti Tamper as well, as it doesn't appear on the store page anymore.

It Takes Two is $39.99 on Steam right now.
