If you asked me, I couldn't tell you what Goat Simulator is doing right now, but it's awesome. The developers keep going crazier and crazier, taking the purposefully buggy sandbox game to new heights, new animals, and so much more mayhem. Goat Simulator 3 (technically the 2nd game) ups the ante more with crazy mini-games, co-op, different animals to select, customization, and new locations and actions. Then, we have the new update that was released yesterday, which brings in some nice Steam Deck fixes.

In the new update, we will now have the correct button prompts showing up instead of keyboard buttons, split-screen players will only come in if other controllers are connected, the text will now have the correct size, and a fix for touching the screen during gameplay could make the camera spin and our goat to headbutt like crazy. All of these make the game much more playable, and it seems to be working on solidifying the verified badge.

I was going to say this could help the game become Verified since one of the requirements is showing correct controller icons, but it was Verified before the update, so it could be an error on Valve's part for this rating.

The update also has a bunch of bug fixes, like the social media buttons being highlighted at the right moment, you can now play DLC if you are playing through the Microsoft store, subtitle size will not work properly, and a bunch of crashes have been fixed. We also have a new addition where the Old School Pilgor Goat will play the original Goat Simulator music now. There's also an ominous fix that just says "Watashi wa star," and I have no idea what this could mean.

Goat Simulator 3 can be purchased on Steam for $29.99 and is rated Steam Deck Verified.
