I have seen Foundry, the base-building automation game, pop up numerous times when looking into games that have Steam Deck improvements, which makes me extremely happy. While this one isn't available now, it should be extremely helpful when the update does come out since it will make using any machine panels significantly nicer for smaller screen devices, like the Deck.

In their newest Devlog, the team goes over a problem with using the UI on machines in Foundry. It uses a world space UI for a sense of immersion, which means you interact directly with the screen as it shows when you are looking at it. It's cool and does work with larger screens, but on smaller ones, the text and UI can be really small and hard to utilize when on the smaller screen. There can even be some blockage of getting close up to the panel by a friendly loader, so the team is implementing a new way to use these machines.
By putting in a screen space representation of the UI, the game will blow up the screen and put it smack in the middle of your device's screen. This allows significantly better visibility for what you interact with, along with larger text and no blockage. The team has this set, so you must look at the panel to interact with it since some machines have multiple panels, but they are looking into other ways of implementing this, too.

Overall, it is something to be excited about, and with all the changes to Foundry that take the Steam Deck into account, I have high hopes this will be a fantastic game to integrate into your Steam Deck library.
Foundry is available on Steam for $29.99. It is currently rated Steam Deck Playable due to showing incorrect controller icons, small in-game text, and sometimes needing to manually quit the game via the Steam overlay.
