Every Day We Fight has the makings of a great strategy game that could easily become one of my favorites. It has a sci-fi theme to it, with real-time exploration and turn-based combat, but the way they incorporate first-person shooting and abilities keeps it feeling interesting. I enjoy the game so far, and I am happy to see their latest update includes a welcome change for the Steam Deck.

Every Day We Fight

The new update actually includes a couple of changes that could help on the Steam Deck, though only one is specific to it. The game will now automatically apply a settings preset for the Deck, so we don't have to manually change settings. There are also some text size and UI changes that will overall help with visibility on the Deck's smaller screen.

The patch also includes a new Click-to-Move option for those who don't want to use WASD to move around, dialogue lines can be skipped, the priming animation for teleportation has been removed, the fast forward button has changed on the controller, and there's a wealth of balance adjustments for the difficulty and weapons.

You can check out the full changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post.
