When it comes to co-op games, Escape Simulator is towards the top of my favorites. I love being able to work together with a partner and try to solve sets of puzzles, one after another, to escape the room and ultimately be victorious. With the devs consistently adding in more content, it feels like there's always something new to try. However, today's update was a mix of both good and bad, though ultimately, I have hope it's for the best moving forward.

On the bad side, Linux support for Escape Simulator has come to an end. According to the update post, the recent Steam Deck updates brought with them too many issues, which were affecting development. With the game running well with Proton already, the team decided to default to Proton for Linux users and focus more on new content. This doesn't necessarily mean support will completely end; there will most likely be patches that affect the Steam Deck when needed, but it just won't be natively supported through Linux.
However, the update comes with some new free content! A brand new noir-themed room called Detective's Office was added. It comes with its own unique puzzles and new detective outfits. The soundtrack also got updated to include new music from rooms and the recent DLC, the Mayan DLC is now available on Meta VR, and some bugs have been squashed. The team is also hard at work on a new big DLC for Escape Simulator, while Escape Simulator 2 is being worked on.
