Devil Jam launched last month, and while this action roguelite has struggled with technical issues, I’ve grown to love its style. It carries a certain charm with its frantic bullet hell gameplay, and I hope the developers at Rogueside continue to work on it. A new patch went live for Devil Jam this week, carrying a bunch of improvements.

Patch 1.0.42 offers some nice stuff, including The Overgrowth and Thorns of Crimson Death maps, which offer some great variance to the map pool, as well as 4 new challenges that get unlocked by progressing through quests given by the Devil. Other improvements include larger font and UI scaling on the Steam Deck, better randomized stages, bug fixes, and balance changes to the late game.

Devil Jam is $9.99 on Steam, with a Playable rating for the Steam Deck due to small in-game text. With improved text in this new patch, this could be the final hurdle to getting that Verified badge.
