This month is stacked with amazing games that are releasing, with next week bringing Borderlands 4 and the week after containing LEGO Voyagers, TROLEU, Henry Halfhead, skate., Moros Protocol, and Dying Light: The Beast, to name a few. So, I appreciate free games being available to round out our libraries, and today, we have a brand new free game that we can add to our libraries before it goes back up in price to $4.99 on September 13th.

Enter Broilers, a turn-based game that may appear like chess, but has some interesting mechanics that revolve around breeding. It looks really interesting, and it's something that I would have loved to try, so I am overjoyed that we can get it for free right now.
Broilers is also rated Playable on the Steam Deck due to needing a community controller configuration, showing incorrect controller icons, small in-game text, and having to manually bring up the virtual keyboard. So, even with some compromises, it should be very playable on the Deck, and there's no reason not to try it.
You can add Broilers to your Steam library right now until September 13th, where it will then go back to its $4.99 price tag.
