Last year, Blades of Fire was released, and despite some issues, it was a lot of fun. Developed by MercuryStream, this Metroidvania-esque game has a fantastic gameplay loop with great variety thanks to its smithing system, where you have to constantly make new weapons. It's awesome, and now, it's coming to Steam with support for the Steam Deck.

Today, the game was announced to be coming to Steam on May 14th this year, so we will only have to wait 3 months to add it to our Steam libraries. Before this, the game was released only on the Epic Games Store, and while it could be played on the Deck via Heroic or another method, it still lacked some of the great features Steam provides to help performance, like the shared shader cache. Now, Blades of Fire is officially coming, and not only will it include those great Steam features, but it will also have dedicated Steam Deck support.
The launch on Steam will coincide with the game's 2.0 update, which includes tons of new content, a new challenge level, and New Game Plus. However, it also mentions that it will be getting Steam Deck support as well. The game was already decently playable from Epic, almost hitting 30 FPS playing via Heroic, but having official support should mean a better-looking game that can stick to a stable framerate.
I have reached out to publisher 505 Games for details on what this support will entail exactly, but based on the minimum specifications on the Steam page, I would say Low to Medium graphics with FSR upscaling and a stable 30 FPS.

Blades of Fire can be wishlisted on Steam now, ahead of its May 14th release date. It also has a demo available now to try out for yourself, but I don't see any indication that this demo includes the 2.0 update, so performance on Deck may not be a good indicator from this.
