Proton 9 had struggles with running ARC Raiders. In my testing, it crashed upon booting the game, and we had to run Proton GE to play, but now that Proton 10.0-3 is the latest "stable" version of Proton, Steam Deck players should be able to boot straight into the game with no tinkering (and you can, I just tested it).

Thanks to this Proton update, the game has now been officially Steam Deck Verified. The game runs surprisingly well on the Steam Deck, considering how it's rather graphically impressive. You may not want to play a competitive shooter like this on a small screen combined with upscaling technology, but it's an option for those who are desperate to play the game, even on the go!
