Abalon: Roguelike Tactics CCG is quite the mouthful, but is one of the most underrated deckbuilders out there. It hit 1.0 back in 2023, and the mix of tabletop gameplay and deep RPG mechanics makes it a great deal of fun to play. A new update for Abalon just dropped, bringing a bunch of nifty balance changes to the game.

Version 2.88.0 delivers extensive bug fixes, smoother exploration, and improved stability, targeting AI behavior, card tracking, shop interactions, transformations, and dungeon navigation. While Abalon is already a great experience on the Steam Deck with full controller support and its low footprint, a problem with Context3D loss issues was also fixed in this patch, which should improve the GPU handling and resource use across the board, but especially on devices like the Deck.
