We've been waiting on tenterhooks for Valve to give us any information on their upcoming line of hardware, with the Steam Controller, Steam Frame, and Steam Machine all due to be released sometime in 2026. Well, we might be about to see the launch of at least one of those products in the near future.

The eagle-eyed Brad Lynch over on X noticed that a "Steam Controller Unboxing 2026" video has been uploaded to the Steam servers on April 20th, according to a SteamDB listing.

It seems likely, then, that Valve is preparing to ramp up its marketing of the Steam Controller for a near-at-hand launch. Unfortunately, we can't view the video ourselves because it's private, and we get an error saying the video hasn't yet been processed for streaming when we try to access the URL it's stored at.

As for the Steam Machine and Steam Frame, these devices could be a little further out due to the component shortage, which is also affecting Steam Deck production, and causing havoc with other devices.
