If you are a fan of the arcade style sports games, this is going to be an exciting announcement! Wild Card Football, the next entry in the Playgrounds series, is officially up for pre-order!

Following games like NBA 2K Playgrounds and WWE Battlegrounds, Wild Card Football is Saber Interactive's foray into football. And with pre-orders now available, we can get ready for the extreme matches we are going to have.

Choosing teams of 7, you will go head to head against other teams and must win using style, energy, and of course, some bombastic moves. You will be able to put together a team from hundreds of pro football stars while utilizing the unique Wild Card system that lets change the course of your entire match with special power-ups and abilities that transcend the rules of the game. All of which you will be able to do in season play and local or online multiplayer, which has full cross-play capabilities!

There are 3 editions of the game available to preorder now on Steam:

  • Standard Edition - Base game - $40
  • Deluxe Edition - Base game + season pass, Blazing Bones outfit, and 10 card packs - $60
  • Ultimate Edition - Everything in the Deluxe edition + 10 legendary outfits - $70

And every pre-order will receive the Legacy Players Kickoff Pack, which will include Dan Marino, Jerry Rice, Barry Sanders, and Walter Payton in unique throwback outfits.

With the minimum specs showing, it seems as though the game will run decently on the Steam Deck. Honestly, I think this would be such an awesome game to play on-the-go as well, so we are looking forward to seeing it for ourselves!
