A new month means a new list of most-played games on the Steam Deck for August 2025! August has seen a ton of great new releases, and of course, the announcement of Hollow Knight: Silksong releasing soon. This clearly had some effect, since Hollow Knight shot up to the number 1 spot, and the coincidence is uncanny:

Top 20 Most Played Games on Steam Deck For August 2025
August 4th - September 2nd

New Games Added:

  • Hollow Knight
  • Helldivers 2
  • No Man's Sky
  • Fallout 4

Games That Left:

  • Deep Rock Galactic Survivor
  • Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
  • Death Standing Director's Cut
  • Dave the Diver

Hollow Knight is a fantastic metroidvania and a perfect fit for the Steam Deck. We also have Helldivers 2 and No Man's Sky making returns to the list, which makes sense considering the big update for No Man's Sky and the Xbox release for Helldivers 2. I am glad to see PEAK still dominating the list, and Balatro is still rocking in the top 5. However, it's a great list of games, and while I personally wouldn't play Helldivers 2 on Deck, it's still awesome to see it here.
