Steam Deck Verified/Playable Highlights 7/3/2023 - 7/9/2023

Valve is hard at work getting more games up and added to the Steam Deck Verified/Playable lists! At first, this last week seemed to be a bit slow, but as we dug deeper, we definitely found some hidden gems to share!

Verified or Playable games don't automatically mean they work amazing right out-of-the-box. Some of these games may require work to optimize and play well.

Scorn (Verified)

A first-person atmospheric horror game that takes place in a nightmarish universe. With a wonderfully gruesome world, puzzles, and some combat, you will navigate through an open-ended world with interconnected regions that get more and more gruesome as you go

The game is $16 and rated as verified.

Homebody (Verified)

From Game Grumps, the maker of Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator, comes a new horror puzzle game: Homebody. This game tells the story of Emily and her college buddies, who have gathered at a remote rental house to watch the Perseid meteor shower. When the power suddenly goes out, you must evade the killer, solve the house’s devious puzzles, and reconnect with each other to make it out alive.

The game is $14 and rated as verified.

AEW: Fight Forever (Playable)

AEW: Fight Forever brings the best of the best from that talent roster together in one game. Online co-op wrestling is going completely next level with Tag Team matches that feature sequences of team maneuvers performed with simple commands, a deep career mode, wrestler customization, signature AEW arenas, and more match types than you can count, all await you in this experience!

The game is $60 and rated as playable due to first-time setup requires an active Internet connection, entering some text requires manually invoking the on-screen keyboard, and some functionality not being accessible when using the default controller configuration.

Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!! (Verified)

Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!! is the massive sequel to the surprise best selling original. One of the few games that gives players complete control on how they want to build their restaurant. With over 200 foods, sides, drinks and desserts to choose from, a staggering increase from the 30 foods in the original, there will be no shortage of content to digest.

The game is $4 and rated as verified.

Call of Duty 2 (Playable)

Call of Duty 2 redefined the cinematic intensity and chaos of battle as seen through the eyes of ordinary soldiers fighting together in epic WWII conflicts over the first game in the series. The game offers more immense, more intense, more realistic battles than previously thought of and helped steer Call of Duty into the direction it is now.

The game is $15 and rated as playable due to some small in-game text, sometimes showing non-Steam-Deck controller icons, entering some text requires manually invoking the on-screen keyboard and may require manually switching the active controller via the Quick Access Menu.

Deceive Inc. (Verified)

Go undercover as the world’s greatest spies in this tense multiplayer game of subterfuge. Disguise as anyone, deploy an arsenal of high-tech gadgets or neutralize the competition. Only one spy can complete the mission and get the paycheck. Rival spies are after the same objective and every single one of them is as skilled, cunning and well-equipped as you are.
