SEGA Reveals Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties as New Two-in-One Offering, Arriving on Steam Feb. 12

SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio announced that Yakuza™ Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties is all set to launch on February 12. This announcement was made during the RGG Summit 2025 livestream. The 20th anniversary of the Dragon & Yakuza series is celebrated by the Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark. This is the new story for one of Yakuza 3’s antagonists. Players can play the Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Kazuma Kiryu and his daughter, Haruka Sawamura, run the Morning Glory Orphanage as they plant roots in the tropical Japanese prefecture of Okinawa. Kiryu learns that he needs to fight and sacrifice while both the government and the yakuza set their sights on beachfront property.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 includes new cutscenes and new side experiences, making Okinawa and Kamurocho more exciting than before. Switch between Dragon of Dojima: Kiwami and Ryukyu Style. These are two powerful fighting styles. While Dragon of Dojima: Kiwami is a brawling action style with more power and additional attack techniques, the Ryukyu Style allows players to unleash a wide variety of combo techniques using different types of weapons. The game offers eight different weapon types to choose from.

Dark Ties features Yoshitaka Mine, one of Kiryu’s formidable foes from Yakuza 3. The events of the game shed light on Mine’s origins, as he looks for unwavering bonds.

Players will get the opportunity to play as Yoshitaka Mine. Defeat the enemies with new combat mechanics that revolve around boxing. Hell’s Arena is a hidden fight club where players can take part in fights with unique rules.

Gain exclusive “Ryukyu Gal Gang – Ichiban Legendary Lad” DLC as a bonus if you pre-order Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties physical or digital version. More content is added to the Digital Deluxe edition, including new characters. Customization items and more BGM tracks. DLC Legendary Outfit Pack, DLC Legendary Lads & Gals Pack, DLC Ryukyu Gal Gang Customization Pack, DLC Flip Phone Customization Pack, and DLC Legendary BGM CD Set are included in this content.

Players who purchase the Standard version will also get the Digital Deluxe DLC content.

Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 are revealed during RGG Direct 2025, and the Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties events will be released on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 13th, 2025. These games are ready to release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam), with additional language support, on December 8, 2025.
