Old Market Simulator is one of those quirky sims that seem to launch every few days on Steam, but it has been getting some big updates recently. This is a game I’ve been meaning to try out for a while, so seeing these patches makes me want to pick it up! And it seems the team is a big fan of the Steam Deck, since their most recent update should improve the experience on handhelds considerably.

While the game has been playable on the Steam Deck, controller support and the UI has been a thorn in player’s side. However, the recent 1.7.0 update hopes to improve that with enhancements with the interface, better navigation in menus with a controller, and overall optimization that should improve the overall experience.
The patch also includes an update to translations in the game and mentions a new Chinese wiki that is available thanks to Gamersky. While those don't directly help out the Steam Deck, it's still nice to see.
Old Market Simulator is available on Steam and is currently rated Steam Deck Playable due to needing a community controller configuration, small in-game text, incorrect controller icons, and needing to manually bring up the virtual keyboard.
